Thanks, Dory. I was unaware of the bioweapon story. However, I think the sheep-dipping might not have been intended to set LHO up as JFK’s assassin, at least not at the time he visited Mexico. After JFK was dead, those eager to set him up as a patsy used the Mexico City episode as proof of his left-wing extremism. The plotters had already decided to kill Kennedy by 9/63, but I’m not sure they’d settled on exactly who the patsy would be yet.
Perhaps they hadn’t decided for sure by then as they had the Tampa and Chicago plot options available at that time, but hard to say something wasn’t up when you look at Ruth Paine, her CIA background, her control over Marina, her direction in getting Oswald to TSBD, her production of questionable evidence and her still classified testimony and tax returns. That would lead to a much longer time frame of set up for Oswald including being warned he was set up in NOLA by Richard Case Nagell.

When you ask why would a Mexico City KGB know about LHO you have been regressing to the American average level of naiveté. What about a KGB officer being able to read the news in English...LHOs defection and returning were in the news. Either the Oswald who was shot by Ruby visited Mexico City or he didn't.
Since you've previously acknowledged that there is no proof that that Oswald visited Mexico City, I don't see how you can then lead readers to believe he did.
One of my premises is that someone (perhaps a lookalike) may have gone to Mexico City using Oswald’s “legend” and posed as the man who would eventually be killed by Ruby. I thought I’d made that clear.

Get Marina to testify at the next hearing about whether Oswald went to Mexico City or not and whether she took the backyard photos.
That would be great if possible. But Luna’s task force doesn’t have subpoena power, and Marina is a longtime recluse.
